It's two-for-one night on Survivor!
Night 6 with Yasur Arafat and Eliza is talking to her supposed alliance and defending her vote for Dolly. Mia tells us she only trusts Lisa and Julie now. Eliza's in big trouble.
The next day the men are working on their shelter and Sarge notices Rory's not around. It turns out he's off on his own looking for fruit. Lea confronts Rory when he gets back and Rory gets defensive about doing his share of the work. J.P. sees this and hopes he can use it to keep himself in the game longer.
Over at Girland, Twila sharpens the machete. Mia wants to look for fruit but Julie quietly says they should rotate so it doesn't look like they're not working. Mia very not quietly says no one should challenge their work ethic. This is obviously for Twila who is right there.

Mia's not afraid of no machete.

The blade sharpener takes the bait and talks back to Mia. Mia verbally unloads on her for calling them out during Tribal Council and says Twila is playing the worker role but they could do everything fine without her. Eliza, for the first time in her life perhaps, smartly just stands there and says nothing.
The Young Four are off together and Eliza tells Julie she has no permanent alliance with the older women and is still loyal to the three of them. Lisa tells us however that she no longer trusts Eliza and has a backup plan.
They get mail for another Immunity Challenge even though Dolly just left last night. Jeff meets them on the beach sporting some smooth shades. When the women walk in, Lea says, "Barbie's gone."
The Challenge is for Reward and Immunity, with the twist that BOTH tribes will be sending someone home tonight. They'll compete as groups for Reward, and then the winning tribe will face off in an individual challenge for Immunity. Something new from Mr. Burnett.
The Challenge is to get through the kinda-small openings in three cage-like walls. The first is tied up in a series of knots. The second requires using grappling hooks to retrieve keys. The gate in the last one is secured with interlocking poles that must be removed one at a time.
The Reward is fishing equipment, including the good old "Hawaiian sling." Somewhere Rupert drools.
"Survivors ready….Go!" The men spread out at the first wall while some of the women fight over knots. The boys get through first. Bubba and J.P. are throwing the hooks to try and get the three keys. The women get through gate one.
The men have a 2-1 lead thanks to J.P.'s work. He goes for another big throw, but isn't holding on to the other end of the rope! The replay shows it wasn't a slip. He never even had it. Oops.

The gateway to victory.

The women get another key as the men try and retrieve their second hook. But Scout absolutely stinks with the hook and the men get key #3. Then, thanks to "Sarge barking out orders," they fly through the third gate and win.
The Immunity portion is each person trying to uncover seven ladder rungs buried in their lane of sand. The rungs are different sizes and must be placed in the correct slot to form a ladder. First one to the top is safe from the vote.
Lea and Chad get a rung, followed by John and Brady. Then Chad and John pull away. Chad has a 6-5 lead. He finds #7 first and starts assembling his ladder. He gets six rungs in but the last one doesn't fit because he has one of the others in the wrong place. John passes him and wins!
But wait. "One other thing," Jeff says. John will now go with the women for the day. After the men's Tribal Council John will give Immunity to one of the women. He must keep his choice a secret but can decide any way he wants. This young mechanical bull operator is on top of the world.
At the ladies' camp John asks everyone who voted for Dolly to raise her hand. He separates them by their vote. He asks the Dolly-voters why they targeted her. Eliza immediately goes on and on about how "these four" were going to vote for her and she had to save herself, blah blah blah. John tells us he wasn't impressed. "The bottom line is…would you please stop talking!"
John now sits down with the non-Dolly-voters and asks who they want off now. Mia asks him not to give the Immunity to Twila. Lisa says not to give it to Eliza either. So much for keeping secrets from the other tribe.
John tells us he's going to try not to annoy the women in case he needs their help later in the game. Probably a good idea.

"The price starts at three flashings."

Eliza interrupts the younger girls' meeting with John and wants them all to vote for Scout. Lisa doesn't want to and suggests Twila instead. Remember this is all right in front of John. Mia says it'll be a tie between her and Twila.
Back in Mantown, Brady says he feels like "dead man walking." He and J.P. want to turn Lea on Rory. Lea talks to Chris about it but a very intense pony-tailed-one says, "This just isn't the time!"
Tribal Council for the guys, and John tells how he split the women apart and discovered their alliances. Jeff and the others are impressed.
They vote. Chris votes for J.P., saying he's stronger mentally than J.P. Brady and J.P. vote for Rory. Chad votes for J.P.
Jeff shows: Rory, J.P., J.P., Roory, Royry (Ruh-roh, Raggy), J.P. It's 3-3. Another J.P.! And the last vote is for…J.P.! The old guys stick together.
Now it's the ladies' turn. John gives the Immunity to…Ami. He says it's because she wasn't going to be voted out anyway. He says he didn't want to interfere with how the vote would've gone so the women can learn about themselves since they're split into two groups. It's the safe strategy. We'll see if he'll regret not using the power to try and indebt of group of players to him.
Mia talks about her fight with Twila. Julie says it's not just about the workload because Twila hasn't even tried to get to know them. Twila says she communicates better with men than women. Ami says Twila should make more of an effort to reach out to the younger ones, maybe have them braid her hair or something. Is Ami just feeling confident with the Immunity Necklace on, or is she turning on the older ones?
Mia votes for Twila. Scout votes for Mia saying, "Good luck in finding a husband that will put up with you." Bravo! Twila votes for "Mea," and Eliza votes for Twila.

A rare moment with Eliza's mouth shut.

The tally reads: Twila, Mia, Twila, Mia (every time we get shot of her she's rocking like a lunatic), Mia, Twila. 3-3.
About this time I look at the clock and see there's not enough time for a tiebreaker so this next vote is key: Mia! Sure enough she gets the fifth nail in her coffin. Which young girl turned this time? The camera focuses on Lisa who is looking away. Did she decide to start acting her age?
Next time on…Survivor: Brady takes the fishing role to try and earn favor. Lisa confesses she voted for Mia because she didn't trust Eliza, which surprises Eliza for some reason. What do they say about how the pot goes around and comes around black?
So Lea, Chad, Bubba and Chris seem pretty resolved to knock out the younger guys, even if it means putting up with Rory. They could've done it this time and still held a 4-3 majority, but they must've really feared J.P. It's true you never want to pass up an opportunity to eliminate your strongest competition because the game might not give you a second chance.
With the women, you have the same type of age split but for the opposite reason. Instead of the older ones being too strong, you have the younger ones just being too stupid. Eliza and Julie better pray for a big twist pronto.
The CBS website talks about a surprise next week. Read between the stars for an attempted spoiler!
*The quote is: "The Tribe that wins Reward is surprised by a prize that sends a visitor to their camp for 24 hours." It's too early for the loved one episode, so how much you want to bet it's Rupert coming to teach them to fish and yell? If that's the case, I will not be amused. You gave the man his million bucks. We don't need his beard in every season from now on.*
