Survivor: Vanuatu Episode 11

Man!

Back from Tribal Council on Night 27 and Chris does what he does best: selling out. He immediately tells everyone that Scout and Twila approached him for an overthrow.

The next day Leann confronts Twila. Twila says Chris is just talking. Leann presses and Twila folds like a house of cards, but says it was Scout's idea. Remind me not to take her on my next crime spree.

The Reward Challenge is a quiz about past Challenges. The Reward is a one-hour email chat with a loved one. It's that Challenge.

You know, either CBS got cheap this season or Jeffy's got something up his sleeve.

Everyone gets a one-minute preview before they start. Twila is first and asks if someone can type for her since she doesn't know how. Jeff says it doesn't matter since they have web cams. He's so sly. Twila talks to her son and bawls.

"Dude!!!"

Leann talks to her "best friend." Eliza chats with her "mommy." Julie has a "good friend," Scout has a "partner," Ami has a "girlfriend," and Chris has a "girlfriend" who is actually his "fiancé." "I like quotes."

Here are the questions from the game. Highlight between the stars for the answers if you want to play along.

Who broke the most tiles in the slingshot Challenge? *Rory*
Everyone gets it right.

In the "Great Escape" Challenge, who was the first man to begin assembling his ladder? *Chad*
All are right again.

In the blindfold Challenge, who sat out? *Dolly*
I got that one wrong. So did Twila and Chris.

What were the four symbols on the tiles in the Challenge Scott Is Great At? *Volcano, Pig, Palm Tree, Skull*
Chris and Twila only have three total points, everyone else has six.

In the water balance beam Challenge, who fell in the most? *John K.*

Julie and Eliza are tied at 7 and will answer a tiebreaker: Name as many items from the Memory Challenge as possible.

Here are all the ones Julie got: * *

That's right…she didn't even guess! Eliza's first one is correct and she wins.

But wait! Eliza's mom is there on the island! What did I tell you? That means everyone else is there too so the losers get brief hello/goodbye time. The highlight is Julie's butt hanging out as her big strong "good friend" picks her up.

Mom knows the truth.

Back at camp Eliza tells her mom they wanted to vote her out because she talks too much. Momza says, "Ha ha, you're too annoying." Mom always knows.

Leann now confronts Scout about the conspiracy. "When I came out here I was determined to play the game with integrity and honesty and truth," Scout tells us. "And if that didn't work then I'd lie, cheat and steal. We've now reduced ourselves to the lie, cheat and steal part." Gotta love it.

Scout claims the whole thing was Chad's plan. Ami and Leann tell her they never had a deal for the final four and they now want Julie with them instead. Telling your rival your plan always works in this game.

On Day 29 Eliza's mom leaves and gives her daughter the shirt off her back. What a gal.

Leann and Ami confront Twila again. Ami asks why she just didn't tell the men she wanted nothing to do with them. Probably because she doesn't hate half the human race.

Twila swears on her son's life that she's loyal to Ami and Leann. But she tells the camera, "Maybe if I won a million dollars God would forgive me."

The Immunity Challenge brings the loved ones back to the island. They will be blindfolded and their Survivor will direct them through a course with obstacles to retrieve three bags of puzzle pieces.

Ami's team is in front, followed by Twila and Chris. Team Ami gets their second bag. Chris is going to pass out from screaming. He and the future wife get bag #2. The Amis retrieve the third bag and start puzzling. Chris gets his last one. He tells his fiancé he's going home if he loses. No pressure.

Fake drama ensues followed by Ami winning Immunity yet again.

Back at Bellybuttonlinta, Leann says she wants to vote Eliza out before Chris because she thinks Eliza less deserves to be there. Ami wants to complete her gendercide, but says she's going along with Leann.

Julie gets word back to Chris that he's not going home. I guess she doesn't want to cuddle up with him to earn his favor.

Chris' voice is completely jacked. He collects wood with Twila. She tells him he holds the key to changing the game and this intellectual tug-of-war results:

"Nice fake satellite, Jeff!"

Twila says Chris can change things "by talking to one person."
Chris: "Scout?"
Twila: "No."
Chris: "I'm talking to you."
Twila: "No."
Chris: "Eliza?"
Twila: "Think about it."

Don't tell him that, it's only an hour show!

Chris is stoked. He goes to Eliza and tells her the women want to vote her out, so she should vote with him, Scout and Twila. Eliza says she doesn't trust Scout and Twila. She thinks it's a plot against her and they're lying to Chris. Come on, what sense does that make? If it was a plot against her, they'd tell her they were voting for Chris.

Like I said before, you know you're desperate when trusting Eliza is your best option.

At Tribal Council Jeff asks Leann why she gave up during the Immunity Challenge and ended up joking around with her friend while Chris took it so seriously. "I didn't tell her it was life or death for me," Leann explains. "I didn't feel like it was."

Chris says there's tension between the women. Enough to give him power?

Julie and Ami vote for Eliza. We creep to the edge of our seats.

The tally reads…oh heck, let's have more fun with invisible ink:
*Eliza
Leann
Eliza
Eliza
Leann (3-2)
Leann (uh oh)

LEANN!*

Accidental Mastermind

The jury is giddy. In her final words Leann realizes it was life and death for her. "I feel like the world's biggest idiot."

That was GREAT. It's about time we had some big-league backstabbing. And there was no way to see it coming. Just last episode Scout was still trying to get Eliza voted off, and now they're allies in a huge overthrow.

Now the question is, can they tolerate each other long enough to get to the final four? Can Twila survive someone not liking her? Can Chris just shut up and not rock the boat?

Like Jeff said, "Nine days left, this game has just been turned on its head."

Amazing Race thought of the week:

There was only one all-male team and they got eliminated first. There are only two all-female teams and one of them got eliminated second. All the couple fighting must work.
