If you've been waiting for some good yellin' this episode's for you.
Day 16 for the Mogos and Jerri says Kathy decided to vote off Richard at the last minute. Kathy says she didn't want to go against Colby to keep him and Lex thinking she's on their side. Shii Ann is impressed and tells us Kathy is the "biggest power player" here. Huh?
Rupert works on the fishing spear for Chapera. Tom says he likes easy-going Rupert. I hope they team up. Crazy and the Drunk.
Rupert's plan is--surprise--to catch fish. Rob says, "He can continue to feed me until it's time for him to go, and that time will be determined by me." The crown of Cockiest on the Island has been passed.
Shii Ann confronts Colby on his coasting comments at Tribal Council. He's not shy and says he doesn't respect people who sit back and let others make the decisions and do the lying. Well, that's what Sandra did last season, all the way to the title. Shii Ann rolls her eyes afterward and calls him "Captain America" to the camera.
Chapera talks about whom Mogo voted off and they hope it was Rich. Sue flips out, saying she's still upset about his nudie actions at the Challenge.

Every fisherman needs a hat.
|
The next day she says she thought about Rich all night and it brings her to tears. Wow, this is really bothering her. She lies on the beach and cries.
Alicia tries to comfort her and says they need her. Rob doesn't know if she's sincere. Is she trying to build a case to sue Richard? Is she trying to get leverage in the game? He says they have to give her the benefit of the doubt though.
Amber tells us the situation was elevated in Sue's mind because of the game environment. She says it wouldn't have been as big a deal if it happened under normal circumstances. Where the heck do fat naked men rub up against you under normal circumstances? "Hi Bill, almost done with the copier? Whoa, that's not a staple remover!"
Rupert says Sue is throwing in the towel because she has "her own agenda." Tom agrees saying, "If it was up to Old Jungle Cat, I'd say stick a fork in her, she's done." Has Tom declared himself a superhero of some sort, or is that his stripper name?
Over at Mogo Mogo, Jerri talks about food. Man, none of these people have changed. Kathy and Shii Ann are not amused. Shii misses Rich and his fish.
Lex tries his hand at fishing, and brings home a ton of food! We'll see if the provider role works out better for him. Lex wants to endear himself to the women so they'll keep him around longer than the other guys. Why turn over power to another group like that? Why not stick with the guys and all of you last longer?
At Chapera, Rob and Amber approach Jenna and Rupert for an alliance. Rupert says, "I know that I can trust Jenna. I hope that I can trust Rob and Amber. I feel pretty confident with where I'm at." Again, nobody's changed. And why so much strategizing this early in the episode?
Disclaimer! Here's comes the naughty bits!
Mail says the Reward will be something to eat. Jerri takes advantage of the private moment to tell Lex, "I absolutely adore you." She says she wants to go far in the game with him. Lex tells us he trusts her but he's looking out for himself. "It's business this time." Atta boy. Just don't make too strong a move too soon.
Sue isn't eating. Both Rupert and Tom want her to snap out of it and not hurt the tribe.

"Never yell at me again."
|
Challenge time and Jeff says, "Before we get to today's Challenge I want to address something that happened yesterday. … Anybody have any comments?" Be careful what you wish for.
Sue: "I was sexually violated! He passed a half a dozen people on the platform and never touched them!"
Jeff: "Sue, I, I'm--"
Sue: "And it went to far, and he croosed the line, and he crossed the line with me!"
Jeff: "Well--"
Sue: "OK, I know you don't know! And you didn't see it 'cause his back was to you 'cause he's too big of a slob to see around! I was violated, humiliated, dehumanized and totally spent, Jeff! It was not 'sort of,' Jeff! Because his back was to you, Jeff! That's all I'm saying and I'm spent and I'm done with this @#$% game!"
Jeff asks if she wants out for good and she says she's done. He brings in the boat for the second time. I guess Sue just wanted to get in her big yelling scene early this season.
Jeff tries to regain order. He says they can either compete in the Challenge like normal or talk about it and split the food. Jenna wants to share, but Kathy says to play for it. Rob from Jenna's team also wants to play and most others agree.
The game is stomping on a seesaw-type board to catapult food items into a basket about ten feet in the air. Each person will have to get their own item in the basket. We'll call this the Rob rule.
The Reward is shish kabobs, plus all the food from the basket. The teams are peppy at the start, cheering and chanting. Sue who?
It's Ethan vs. Tom. Tom hits on his first try and Ethan makes his second. Shii Ann makes hers in a couple tries but Jenna can't. She misses again and again. Jerri and Colby hit theirs before she finally succeeds. It's 4-2 Mogo Mogo.

March Madness Survivor style.

Kathy squares off against Rob and he comes through again, but Kathy is right behind him. 5-3 now. Alicia baskets hers in one try to cut the lead the one but Lex has the final item. He misses with the tin of beef. He tries again--good! Mogo wins and Jenna is the goat. High five!
Mogo goes back to camp and eats in style. Colby says, "The steak kabobs were more delectable than-- Excuse me while I clear the saliva out of my mouth."
Ethan is even happier. "I just wanted to rub my face in it! I wanted to sleep next to it!" OK, that's a little too far, buddy.
They wonder what would have happened if Rich had been at the Challenge. Shii Ann defends him and says he would've been very sorry about what happened. Kathy isn't happy with Sue. "I was very offended that she'd bring us that far into her core of hatred." Is that something like the Axis of Evil?
Night 17 and Chapera finishes up a very tough day. Rupert tells Rob and Tom that Sue was talking about suing Rich for $10 million. Rupert then says the rest of the group needs to stick together and they make a pact. Like that ever works.
The next day, Tree-Mail says there's no challenge. They don't seem to feel bad for Sue at all. Rob even sings the "ding dong" witch song and Tom dances a spirited jig. Alicia says it showed "insensitivity" and called it "crummy." Amber's just disappointed they don't have a person advantage any more.

Will Sue sue?

And…that's it. What a worthless episode, from a game standpoint. Mark Burnett can't be happy.
Next time on…Surviovr: The Mogo Mogo women turn on each other and Lex strategizes with Shii Ann. Jeff says there's a twist at the Reward Challenge, but he's got his hand on the Immunity Idol (good eye, Lorisa).
So I'm assuming they don't merge yet even though I was hoping they'd do it earlier with the bigger group. It's too bad since it's the perfect time with the tribes being even.
What have we learned about the All-Star game so far? The most glaring problem is this season can't stand as its own separate entity. In each of the regular seasons, the world of game began the moment they jumped off the boat and didn't end until the final vote was cast.
This time around it seems everything matters but the current game. We've had six people leave the island and only one of them (Rudy) was voted off because of what took place within the current environment. It's certainly not good for viewers who haven't seen every episode. It's not fun for those of us who have either.
Hopefully this twist will shake things up. I'm also optimistic things will get back to normal after the merge when it's every man for himself. Can greed overpower bitterness?
If not, we've been bamboozled.
