Survivor 17 Episode 8

Un-believable.

Night 21, and Corinne is mad at Susie for saying Susie is stronger than her. Susie tells us her goal is to get into a position of power in the game.

Over at Fang that same night Sugar flexes her muscles. She says she trusts Kenny more than she trusted Ace. Oops. They are assuming the merge is tomorrow. They want to keep Sugar’s Immunity Idol a secret.

The next day Tree Mail announces a feast and a new tribe and everyone rejoices. Randy says the Kota 6 are sticking together against the Fang 4.

While they are all stuffing themselves Kenny sees a clue on the table for a new Hidden Immunity Idol. He tries to be sly about grabbing it but Charlie sees it and makes him read it to everyone.

Marcus says they should find the Idol together and then get rid of it to eliminate tension. They quickly find it and put it on the table but everyone pretends they don’t want it. Sure enough, they stick it in a bottle and take it into the ocean.

Randy tells us he’s the king. But Marcus knows he pulled off a big move. Since his alliance has the majority they just want to keep Immunity out of Fang’s hands.

But wait, there’s more. Another note says everyone has to draw numbers…and form two new tribes!

New New Fang is Randy, Charlie, Corinne, Matty, and Sugar.

New New Kota is Bob, Marcus, Susie, Kenny, and Crystal.

Marcus is happy old Kota members have the majority in both tribes. But Susie says she’s got power now because she can switch and join Kenny and Crystal if she wants.

Marcus finds out one of his best friends just happens to be Crystal’s cousin. This makes him reconsider his strategy. Uh oh, don’t do it, Marcus. Crystal – or as I like to call her, Cry – tells Marcus she won’t vote for him, but she tells us she made the same promise to Ace.

Corinne and Charlie talk about voting for Matty and they fear Sugar has the HII. Matty tells Sugar that Ace wasn’t going after her so Kenny lied. She believes him and cries.

Susie wants Marcus to promise her a spot in the top three so she’ll stay loyal. Work it!

On Day 24 Randy talks to Corinne and Charlie about possibly losing to take out Matty so Susie can’t turn on Marcus.

Tree Mail says the next person voted out will be the first person on the jury, which means we’ll have another three person final.

At the Immunity Challenge Jeff points out that Matty has been on Fang the whole time. Matty calls it the ghetto.

The Challenge is holding up two poles as long as you can…with the backs of your hands. Yikes. Last person standing wins Immunity for their whole tribe.

Cry is out after a second. Sugar quickly follows her. Then it goes Susie, Randy, Corinne, Kenny, Marcus, and Charlie. That leaves Bob vs. Matty for the prize. Matty starts laughing and acting crazy and Jeff scolds him. Matty’s poles are right on the edge, but Bob is trembling a lot. Finally Bob drops it and Matty wins one for the ghetto!

What will Susie do?

Marcus wants Kenny out. He talks to Crystal about voting off Ken with the promise that they’ll vote off Susie next with Crystal taking her spot in the “Kota 6.” Crystal tells us she’s not happy about voting out Kenny.

Susie talks to Marcus about voting out Crystal but he pushes for Kenny. Susie says she feels more comfortable staying with Marcus and she thinks she can get to the final three with him.

Crystal tells Kenny they’re trying to vote him out and they talk about swinging Susie. Cry talks to her, saying they’ll vote off whomever she wants. Susie says Marcus will take her to the end, but Cry says she can’t trust him and she’s at the bottom of their alliance. Susie now says she’s confused.

At Tribal Council Marcus says the plan is to keep the tribe strong. Kenny says it’s bull and calls him “the Kota god” who is going to keep his alliance together. Jeff asks if the decision is easy. Bob says yes and Susie simply says, “I’ve made my decision.”

Marcus and Bob vote for Kenny, and Crystal and Kenny vote for Marcus. Kenny’s ballot says, “Marc-Ace”. Ha ha.

The tally reveals the aforementioned four votes and then……………………………

MARCUS!!!!

Now THAT’S a move.

Next time on…Survivor: Natives dance, Fang stinks, and Kenny thinks he can win.

Wow. Two episodes and two shot-callers get shot. You gotta merge them now, right? If the four Fangs and Susie stick together you’ve suddenly got the confident Kotas on the run. Can the tribe of losers keep from screwing this up?

The funny part is Randy called this blindside. He knew Susie couldn’t be trusted, and he even talked about doing something to prevent her from turning on Marcus. We might have the blowup to end all blowups when Randy finally gets a crack at Susie.

Fang is finally not wrong.
