Pimp out.
Night 12, and Sugar returns to camp. She’s upset to see Kelly there. Crystal tells us she believes Sugar has the Hidden Immunity Idol so she wants to get rid of Sugar.
The next day Kota catches an electric fish. Randy is happy with his new tribe, but he knows the old Fang members are in jeopardy.
Back at Fang Matty sees an elephant. They all watch it push over a tree. Matty and Ace decide to get in their boat to get a closer look. And you thought Fang members were stupid before.
The Reward Challenge is a new one. You have to toss fruit through a hole high up in a wall so a tribemate can catch it on the other side. Pretty easy, except someone from the other tribe gets to whack at your fruit with a stick. The tribe that catches the most fruit by weight wins an herb garden, spices and the fruit.
Crystal and Ace are Fang whackers while Bob and Charlie do the honors for Kota.
Charlie stinks with his stick. Ace is ace. Kenny is a fruit catching machine. Ace gets hit in the mouth with a watermelon. He flails around a bit.
At the weigh-in Fang has 16 pounds of fruit. Kota has…18 pounds and another win! Sugar gets sent back to Exile Island. Dan says they keep choosing Sugar because they think if she finds the Idol she’ll have to use it before the merge.
Back at camp Dan tries to rally everyone together so they’ll stay unified after the merge. Marcus says Dan seems too eager so people won’t believe him. Randy says he’s going to be “Kota yellow to the end.”
The next day GC complains about the small amount of rice they have to eat. Crystal tells him just to eat it and he yells back at her. Ace is happy they’re fighting. GC says he’s getting tired of the game.
Day 15, and they get Tree Mail. GC randomly gets into the boat and leaves. Ken says GC doesn’t like being told what to do because, “That’s just how he rolls.”
Fang wonders if they’re going to have to go to the Challenge without GC but he finally comes back.
The Immunity Challenge is like human Plinko. Each tribe rolls a big ball down a steep hill toward goals worth different values. There are obstacles that can deflect the ball off course. Each tribe also gets a blindfolded blocker with a sighted caller. The tribe with the most points after five rounds wins.
Ace will block with Sugar calling while Dan and Randy are the defender/caller combo for Kota.
On the first roll Kota hits a two-pointer but Fang gets the big five for an early lead.
Roll two, and Dan gets a stop while his tribe scores another deuce. 5-4 Fang. Ace isn’t happy with Sugar’s calling.
In the next round Dan stops his own team’s ball. Fang extends their lead to 7-4.
During round four Dan inadvertently hits Ace in the head with his shield. Ace lies on the ground for a while like he’s dead. I don’t think my four-year-old is as melodramatic as Ace. Kota closes the gap to 7-6.
One round left. Dan gets another stop. Ace is closing in on the Kota ball but Randy acts like his caller and yells at Ace to freeze. It works, Ace stops, and Kota’s ball goes in for the buzzer-beater bucket. 8-7 and Kota steals another one!
Back at camp GC talks to Matty about leaving the game. Matty tells Crystal who gets angry and says she’s not going to beg him to stay. She says she’ll vote for him instead.
Ace and Sugar go swimming. Ace asks her if she’s hidden the Idol. She says it’s in her bag but the others haven’t looked in it because they don’t think she has it. Right on cue Crystal looks through Sugar’s bag and finds the Idol. Now they want to blindside Sugar, but Matty still wants to vote off GC.
At Tribal Council GC says the game makes you think about what’s important and want to be with the ones you love. JP asks if he wants to go home. GC says he’s had a hard life and he doesn’t want to suffer like he used to. Sugar cries and says it’s mentally hard on all of them. Matty says you can’t give yourself the option of quitting. Jeff asks Sugar about the Idol and she says no one has asked her if she has it. She says it doesn’t concern her that people aren’t asking her because she knows people can go through her bag, which she leaves out in the open. Crystal says it’s crazy to leave your bag out.
Sugar votes for GC and GC votes for Kelly.
Sugar does not play the Idol. The tally goes GC, GC, Kelly, GC, and GC. Sugar survives the Curse of the HII.
Next time on…Survivor: Ace looks for someone to turn on their original tribemates, Matty makes a pact with Ace, Ace and Sugar talk about giving Ace the Idol, and Ace says, “I have complete supremacy.”
I think this next episode might be about Ace.
So the tribe swap has been a failure. The Challenges are closer and more entertaining but when they failed to separate the GC/Crystal/Ken tower of non-power they made sure the bumbling would continue. That was their chance to blindside Sugar. Instead they got rid of one of their allies. Brilliant.
We gotta get the sleek weasels to finish off these legless chickens so we can get to some real hunting.
