Fool me twice?
Night 30, and Bob scolds Sugar for the excessive laughing at Randy. Oh come on. You’re my guy, Bob, but what did you think was going to happen? You could’ve just blindsided Randy without lying to him.
Corinne and Sugar yell at each other.
The next day an elephant yells at a gorilla.
Kenny says Bob isn’t very good at the game, and he’s just there to build stuff.
For the Reward Challenge they will divide into two teams of three and race through a mud bog to retrieve gears for a puzzle. The winners will then compete against each other in a slide puzzle for the prize. Jeff says he wishes he could say their loved ones are ready to walk in but they’re not. He says they have video messages on a phone instead. Your ones of love are:
Crystal’s husband and daughter
Kenny’s sister
Susie’s husband and son
Corinne’s parents and siblings
Bob’s wife
Matty’s girlfriend and dog (Jeff checks her out and approves)
Sugar’s sister
The winner will get a longer video along with pizza, beer and brownies. No one will be going to Exile.
Crystal and Susie draw the captain rocks and Susie’s scissors cuts paper. The teams end up like this:
Susie > Matty > Kenny
Crystal > Sugar > Bob
Corinne isn’t picked so she can’t win the Reward.
Matkensus have a big lead heading into the “sprocket” puzzle. Bob does the puzzle in about three seconds.
Final round: Bob does the slide puzzle in about 2 seconds. Take that, Kenny. He now says Bob is a threat and he’s next to go.
Bob’s wife interrupts her message to leave and “show him something.” He gets confused waiting for her to return then she comes out from behind a tree and sneaks up about half an inch away from him before he sees her. She says, “He looks dirty but I can tell he’s very happy.”
Bob brings his wife to camp. Everyone hugs her. Hi, filthy strangers! Bob whistles…and all the other loved ones walk out.
Ken tells his sister his alliance is with Crystal and Sugar because he saved them, and if he makes the final three he’ll win.
Sugar’s sister brought some of her dad’s ashes and they spread them in the water.
Matty cries and tells his girlfriend he wants to marry her. He says, “I made this for you.” Don’t tell me he made a ring. Oh good, it’s only a necklace. Maybe she could use it for Immunity.
Matty tells us all to dig for the gold in all of us.
Day 33, and Bob and Corinne talk about blindsiding Matty. The others talk about taking out Bob. Bob tells Corinne that Marcus didn’t throw the Immunity Idol in the water and Bob has it. She believes him, but then he says it’s not true but that’s just going to be his story, and he’ll make another fake Idol. Ha!
The Immunity Challenge is answering trivia questions to earn balls to throw down a hill at a target. The closest ball to the center wins.
Your Trivial Pursuit-Gabon Edition questions:
True or False: Gorillas were first discovered in Gabon. True.
Sugar and Corinne are the only ones right.
A male elephant is called a bull and a female is called a… Cow.
Sugar (2), Corinne (2), Susie and Bob are right.
True or False: The Gabonese viper is poisonous but mostly harmless to humans. False.
Sugar (3), Bob (2), Kenny, Crystal and Matty are right.
True or False: An elephant’s trunk is used as its nose, arm and mouth. False (not a mouth).

In the first round Kenny is first, then Matty is closer, then Sugar, Susie and Corinne aren’t close enough, then Bob takes the lead and Crystal comes up short. Susie and Crystal are out.
Kenny and Matty miss on their next toss and both are out. Sugar and Corinne aren’t close enough. Bob beats his first throw to improve his mark.
Sugar is short, Corinne is long and Bob fails to improve. Sugar takes the last shot, it bounces into the center but rolls out. Bob wins! Fake Idol time!
The plan is to tell two people that Corinne has the Idol so the four of them can vote for someone else. Corinne tells Kenny the tale and says they want to vote out Matty. Kenny buys it.
Bob secretly makes an Idol that’s even better looking than the other one. Is there a Michael’s nearby?
Bob shows the FHII to Crystal and offers her final four. She shakes his hand and agrees. Bob says “Operation Fake Idol II” is under way.
Kenny and Crystal are excited about having a deal to make the final four, but Kenny tells Crystal to vote for Corinne along with Sugar, Susie and Matty so they can flush out Corinne’s Idol and still vote out Matty.
At Tribal Council Corinne says paranoia could help them break up the alliance. Sugar says they have to guard against people being “gullible” and “being duped.” Crystal says the key to the game is “knowing when to trust, and when to cut your ties.”
Kenny votes for Matty, and Matty votes for Corinne.
Jeff asks if anyone wants to play an Immunity Idol and there’s a long pause but of course Corinne doesn’t play the fake one.
The tally goes: Matty, Corinne, Corinne, Corinne, Matty, Matty (3-3), and…Corinne!
Corinne says she’ll never talk to Sugar again, but she wishes Bob and Kenny the best.
Next time on…Survivor: Kenny tells Bob his game is messed up because Bob lied, Bob says if he wins Immunity he’ll give it to Kenny, Kenny says Bob messed with the wrong guy, Sugar says Kenny makes up lies and Crystal is a bully.
So Kenny fell for Bob’s plan but accidentally thwarted it by being greedy. Now Matty knows the five aren’t tight and it opens up the possibility of maneuvering which could save Bob in a roundabout way. I don’t know about this promise to give Kenny Immunity though. Maybe he’s planning on pulling a Dreamz.
Wait – I have the perfect plan for Bob….
He could make a fake Immunity Idol!!!
