Survivor 15
Episode 12

That was terrible.

Day 34, and it’s Reward Challenge time. Each Survivor gets five arrows to distribute any way they choose to the others. Then each one will shoot however many arrows they get with a crossbow-type deal toward a board with everyone’s name on it. Whoever ends up with the most arrows in their squares (no matter who shoots them) wins an overnight trip to some great wall.

PG only gets one arrow (from Courtney). Todd gets 6. Denise only gets 2. Courtney gets 12. Amanda gets 4.

PG misses with her arrow. Denise gives herself a point. Amanda scores 2 points, but both for Denise. Todd puts on a clinic and hits 5 of 6, and all for him. Courtney’s arrows are just all over the place. When the smoke clears she only got her own name once and she hit Denise 5 times to give Lady Lunch the victory.

Denise naturally picks Courtney to go with her but she has to choose again. Todd and PG shamelessly beg to get picked. Denise leans over and tells Courtney she doesn’t want PG to get stronger, so she picks Todd. PG cries because Denise hasn’t paid her back.

Back at camp we learn that PG overheard Denise’s comment. Oops. Amanda has trouble with the fire and does some crying of her own. She and PG bond over Asian pears.

The Rewarders are confused by their meal and they don’t like it.

Amanda and PG catch fish together and eat extra rice with extra seasoning. They’re like BFFs. Amanda tells PG that Denise is just a puppet.

Todd asks his fellow complainers if they should vote out Amanda if PG wins Immunity. Back at camp they complain about the food some more. Denise privately tells Amanda that Todd ate all the leftovers on the way home so they don’t have anything to give them.

The Immunity Challenge is the second chance event. Round 1 is the throwing stars and Todd only gets one point so he’s out. Round 2 is eating balut and Denise again gags away her chance. You can’t tell me she hasn’t served worse in the cafeteria.

Round 3 is bouncing the ball on the drums, and PG and Courtney both stink. PG stinks a little less and advances to face Amanda in the final. It’s the rope-chopping and puzzle-disc-ing Challenge and – even though it’s close – Amanda leads the whole way and wins her first Immunity.

At camp Todd once more complains that Amanda and PG ate too much rice. Amanda talks to PG and Denise about possibly voting out Todd. Denise tells us she likes the idea of going against Todd at the end. Todd says he’s feeling “kinda comfortable” about his alliance.

At Tribal Council Courtney complains about the food again. Amanda says she respects PG for lasting this long. PG says whoever fights and plays honorably deserves to stay. Todd says he’s probably the least liked by the jury.

Courtney votes for PG and PG votes for Todd. The tally goes: PG, Todd, PG…PG! Amanda and Denise didn’t do it so we’re left with big-head Todd and his monsters.

Next time on…Sunday: It’s Denise, the lunch lady. Courtney, the long shot. Todd, the schemer. And Amanda, the chameleon. What does that mean? Do chameleons spend all their time with their rear ends hanging out?

PG says they voted her out because they were “scared to death” to face her at the end. I don’t think her perception was correct at any point in this game.

So here’s my prediction: Denise does not win Immunity, the three young people stay together, Courtney gets no votes, and Todd and Amanda do battle for the big bucks.

Wait a second, what if Frosti votes for Courtney and then Amanda and Todd split the other six votes? Now that would be fine.

As Todd would say, make sure your seatbelts are fastened.

But don’t complain about the food.
