Alex is a 28-year-old Attorney from L.A. (let's keep a running tally of the Angelinos this time). He was born in Colombia (the country) and he went to Harvard (the school).

Straight outta Compton, crazy @#%&*!*# named Anthony, in a gang called 32-year-old Yale-educated Expert Witness Locator. I guess that gang name would be a little too long for hand signs.

Boo is 34 and he's a Construction Worker from Louisiana. Boo is not his real name. It's not even a noun. It's an interjection, if you're counting parts of speech at home.

Cassandra is from L.A. (3). She is 42 and works as a Civil Engineer Manager for U *clap clap clap* C *clap clap clap* L *clap clap clap* A *clap clap clap* U-C-L-A Fight Fight Fight! As an Arizona alum it sickens me that I know that.

25-year-old Dre has a good name for being straight outta Compton, but he's not a doctor, and he's from North Carolina, and he's a Cheerleading Coach. So much for that.

Earl is from Santa Monica (4). He's 35, an Advertising Executive, and a part-time composer. Move over, Sekou.

Edgardo, 28, is also an Advertising Executive, but he's from Florida. Maybe he'll have an East Coast/West Coast thing with Earl.

Erica from Louisiana is 27. She works as a Non-Profit Fundraiser. I've always thought that would be an easy job. "How much money did you raise today? None? Great work! That's not a profit!"

Gary from Minnesota is the oldest castaway at 55. He is a School Bus Driver. No word if it's the short variety.

James is your token Bartender from L.A. (5). He's 28 and he describes himself as a "man's man." Man.

27-year-old Jessica works in L.A. (6) as a Fashion Stylist. She did body painting for "The Lion King" which will come in handy if any of the local wildlife needs another coat.

Liliana is a 25-year-old Loan Officer from Oxnard which is by L.A. (7). When we lived out there Lorisa and I called it The Nard. True story.

"Lisi" is short for "Lisette" and she's a "Customer Service Representative" with 36 years of age who lives in "Los Angeles" (8).

Our youngest castaway is 23-year-old Michelle who does her Studenting in Ohio. She says she has a weakness for ice cream and sushi. I hope not at the same time.

Mookie is a 25-year-old Loan Manager from Illinois. Maybe he'll have a West Coast/No Coast thing with Lisi.

Rita is the only 38-year-old Single Mom from Texas with pigtails.

Stacy's mom has got it going on, or so I'm told. The daughter is 27 and she's from Colorado, working as an Interactive Internet Producer. As opposed to the non-interactive Internet? Is that where you turn the computer off?

Sylvia is 52, making her the oldest female on the island. She's an Architect who designed the interiors of the San Francisco Giants' home stadium. She denies the allegations she was on steroids at the time.

Yau-Man, 54, is a Computer Engineer from Martinez, CA. He's a Yau-Man's Man.

If you're keeping score at home, there are five African-Americans, five Asian-Americans, four Latinos, five Palefaces, and ten Californians. I don't expect them to divide things by face again (especially since it wouldn't be fair to the tribe of four) but we'll see if they try and again make race an issue.

Here are my notes from Jeff's preview at the end of last season:

One tribe has plenty and the other has nothing. There's a Harvard lawyer, and a former homeless street performer. There will be fierce battles, an Exile Island with two hidden Immunity Idols, a "drastic twist," and a "controversial decision" that will have everyone talking.

My only request is for an Immunity Idol to actually come into play and save someone from getting voted out. That and an East Coast/West Coast thing.
