It’s time for something drastic to happen.
Night 30, and Earl lets people know he’s upset that Alex is still here. Alex is hopeful the alliance will split.
The next morning Alex pretends to sleep and hears Earl telling Cassandra he trusts her and Yau-Man. They discuss bringing Dreamz along as their fourth person.
They bring the idea to Yau-Man and he disagrees. He tells Cassandra she’s too close to Dreamz and wouldn’t vote against him. Yau wants Stacy to make the final four.
Cassandra says Yau-Man is playing the game “like street ball.” So that’s where I’ve seen him before. He was on the And1 tour throwing down 720s with Air Up There.
For the Reward Challenge they borrow a page from the MTV Real World/Road Rules Challenge and rip suspended meat off the bone without using their hands. The only things missing were girls in bikini tops and white guys with assorted Mohawks.
The goal is to get as much pork as possible on your plate before time expires. The winner will get a river rafting trip plus an advantage in the Immunity Challenge.
The germ-sharing begins and Yau-Man moves in front by ripping off chunks the size of his fist. Boo makes up ground by bringing back what looked like Wilbur from Charlotte’s Web.
Sure enough, Boo ends up winning by almost three full pounds (8.9 to 6). Yau-Man and Dreamz tie for second and get to share in the trip. Boo sends Earl to Exile Island.
As they soar over the jungle in a helicopter I can’t help but wonder if Yau-Man is winning too much. Hmmm….
Dreamz complains about Boo’s constant talking. After riding the rapids they get letters from home and Dreamz weeps like a cheerleading coach.
Day 33, and Yau-Man and Dreamz tell everyone, including Alex, about Boo’s babbling. Alex tells us he’s happy to encourage the “Boo bashing.” Dreamz says he wants Boo out before Alex.
The Immunity Challenge is digging along a lane of sand to find three buried steps. Boo’s advantage is he already has his steps and automatically advances to the three-person final where they will use their steps to climb a 12-foot-tall pole to retrieve a flag.
Dreamz dominates the others by getting all three of his steps before anyone can get step one. Alex and Yau-Man do battle including throwing dirt in each other’s lanes and Yau fails for a change.
They begin the second round and Alex suddenly bolts up the pole without using the steps. He makes it all the way to the top…but doesn’t have enough grip for a final burst and Boo passes him for the victory!
Well, there goes the suspense. Bye-bye Alex…right?
Alex says he’s not going to beg for his spot but will wait for people to come to him. This seems foolish, but sure enough Cassandra comes up to him to talk alone. Alex tells her if she’s going to make a power play this is the time. He says if she doesn’t go after Yau-Man now he’ll take out either her or Dreamz next so he can bring Boo and Stacy to the end.
Dreamz likes the idea and talks to Cassandra about going through with it. Later, Earl tells Cassandra not to buy it. But Dreamz tells Alex it’s going to be Yau-Man tonight.
At Tribal Council Yau-Man says he trusts his alliance and says three people turning on them isn’t likely. He adds that he’ll start feeling pressure next round. Why does he continue to say all this out loud?
Jeff asks each of them if they’re legitimately concerned. Alex says yes, but everyone else says no. Is someone about to be bamboozled?
No one plays an Idol. Alex and Yau vote for each other. The tally reads: Alex, Yau-Man, Alex, Alex…Alex. All the drama was fake and the alliance of six stays true.
Next time on…Survivor: Dreamz again talks to Cassandra about turning on Yau-Man, and Yau tries to make some sort of deal during a Challenge.
Nice work by Alex in fighting to the end and making a strong argument. Yau-Man continues to stick his neck out there but his allies aren’t biting. Is the wee man’s luck about to run out?
OK, now it’s time for something drastic to happen.
