HUGE NEW TWIST! Oh wait, no, that's just a new font.
Lorisa pointed out to me that my "I2" joke looked just like the number 12 so I'm changing things up. Fontastic!
Day 22, and Jonathan goes back to work. "Who knew a Jew could climb a tree?" he asks. Jonathan admits that he now regrets changing tribes. Funny how that works after a few losses.
Adam tells Candice the two of them are going to the end. Jenny says she has a five-person alliance with Nate, Pardonme, Adam and Candice.
Candice uses the same trick that my 2-year-old uses to get kisses. She tells Adam that her fingers, hands and finally lips hurt.
Mail comes and they have to memorize nautical flags and the corresponding letters. The winner of the Reward Challenge gets a local feast. Adam and Candice spend the Challenge yelling at Jonathan and Jenny and I4 wins easily. Candice knows she's going to Exile Island and she is correct.
Blondie weeps in Exile. "It's not fun to know that people that you like want you to suffer," she says. You didn't like them too much a few days ago.
I4 pigs out and Yul shakes his thang with some, uh, healthy native women. Ozzy says, "Man, that guy can dance." Look out, Emmitt Smith.
The next day a map arrives and they have to learn the islands of the Pacific. Jenny says Rebecca has been their weakest performer in the Challenges.
The Immunity Challenge forces them to swim and dive one at a time to retrieve a total of ten island names which they will match to a map as a group. The loser will be getting a bonus of a note inside a bottle. This race is closer (Raro at least gets to the puzzle this time) but the mighty I4 prevail yet again.
Adam, Jonathan, Candice and Jenny talk about voting out Rebecca, which Jenny admits goes against their alliance. Ad & Can talk alone and say Jenny is probably next after that because she'll try and split the two of them up. Nate tells Pardonme they should vote out Jonathan before Rebecca because he's not "family".
At Tribal Council Jeff reminds them they've only won three Challenges. Jonathan brags that he caught 22 fish in two days. Miss Poverty says Jonathan "is a big part of this tribe." Adam says the vote is "about productivity" because he's tired of losing.
Jenny votes for Rebecca and Rebecca votes for Jonathan. The tally goes Jonathan and four Rebeccas, and she leaves without final words of any kind.
They open the bottle and…it says they now have to vote someone else out!
The second tally reads: Jonathan, Jonathan, Jenny, Jenny…Jenny…Jenny again! We see at the end that Nate was the second vote for Jonathan.
Next time on…Survivor: Jonathan reaches his "breaking point" with his lazy tribe, Yul shares his secret with Ozzy, and Ad/Can make out. Yay.
I didn't see the double elimination twist coming and I greatly enjoyed how they had to vote a second time without talking about it. I2 is now down just one person. Will they be given a chance to even the score before the merge?
The other number mystery has to do with the length of the show. There are still nine people left and this was already Episode 9. If they keep things like normal there are five episodes left and four Survivors will make the final episode. If my feeble math is correct, that means they'll either have to double up on voting someone out once more, or there's another big twist.
Another thing to watch is how Adam attempts to be both the mastermind and the hedonist. He is clearly running the show over at Raro (even if that show looks like it's about to be cancelled). Nate continues to be talked out of his voting preference. Will Nate finally stand up for himself now that Adam is focusing on taking away Candice's pain?
And has Billy been put under 24-hour surveillance yet?
