Hellooooo Nancy.
Day 16, and Nate listens in at I2 as Flicka says she's on the outside. Nate says his tribe can make some moves with the information he's learned.
Yul, Becky and Candice talk about the voting order. Yul says Ozzy is going next but he's worried about Jonathan after the merge.
The tribes get to choose their own prizes out of a catalog for the Reward Challenge. Brad wants the potatoes because they'll last longer but the rest of Raro wants some tasty bread. I2 goes for the potatoes, and both tribes want peanut butter.
The Challenge is yet another original one, this time involving swimming, flying clubbing, and puzzling. I2 makes Nate sit out. Very wise, since he will be joining RR right after the Challenge.
Brad doesn't want to do the swimming because he says he can do puzzles like the back of his hand.
Ozzy dominates, even in the rain. Rebecca can't find her key, or her top. Nate asks Brad why he's not swimming. Candice can't find her key allowing RR to close some ground. But Ozzy breaks a box with his fist, catches the key before it sinks to the ground and dolphin-swims back. What a beast. I2 has a big lead and wins. Adam is Exiled.
Back at camp, I2 eats some peanut butter and Candice and Flicka kiss. Peter Pan would be proud.
Nate is steaming because Brad wanted to be "puzzle boy." He's not sure if it was because of the rain or if Brad is just a "Nancy boy." Tee hee. Pavlovian wants to punch Brad in the mouth.
Adam is doubting his tribe. "It's hard to soar like an eagle," he says, "when you're surrounded by turkeys." He huddles under a lean-to during a heavy storm.
The next morning Ozzy catches a bird with his bare hands. He says he was going to the bathroom when he saw it sleeping in a bush. Candice is in awe of the Oz. Yul however is leery because Ozzy could "dominate" after the merge.
Ozzy talks strategy with Flicka and Candice, and Flicka wants Jonathan out.
The Immunity Challenge involves a log staircase, a zip line, and another puzzle. Jonathan sits out for I2.
Jeff says the RR girls are doing a lot of work "while the guys debate which is the biggest log." What's with guys and debating log size?
I2 has another big lead and…wait! Jenny absolutely destroys the puzzle…and Raro wins! What a huge upset!!
Now the I2's have to scramble. Candice says the options are Jonathan (because they can't trust him), Flicka (because she's annoyingly paranoid), and Ozzy (because he's the biggest threat). Flicka pushes for Jonathan, and Ozzy agrees.
At Tribal Council Jonathan says decisions are being made "based on personality, not ethnicity." Yul says someone friendly like Flicka is good to have around because you don't have to worry about them scheming behind your back. Ozzy says he wants to make everyone fat, but if he ends up going because he provided too much that's probably the best way to go.
Jonathan and Flicka vote for each other, and the tally goes: Jonathan…and four friend Flickas. It was unanimous, including Ozzy.
Next time on…Survivor: Brad loses his tribe's trust and Jeff introduces a new twist: "You have ten seconds to decide whether you want to change your fate in this game."
So there are 12 people left, and six on each tribe. Before the preview Lorisa and I were saying they should merge early to make sure I2 doesn't win the next two Immunities.
I have no inside info, but our guess is the twist is they're going to let the Survivors vote if they want to merge now or later. If that happens, I turn it down if I'm I2 and I instantly take it if I'm Raro. Raro barely pulled off that Immunity and they'd be a big favorite to go into a 10-person merge at a 4-6 disadvantage.
We'll see. Like Flicka on the first day, I probably shouldn't free my chickens before they hatch.
