The pot is melting again.
Day 7, and Cowboy annoys his tribe with his constant talking. They meet with Jeff who is wearing a cao boi hat of his own.
Tribe swap. So much for the racial thing. The women end up divided with Cecilia, Jessica, Sundra, Becky and Candice on one side and Parvati, Jenny, Cristina, Rebecca and Stephannie on the other. The men get split with Brad, J.P., Nate and Adam vs. Jonathan, Yul, Ozzy and Cowboy.
Jeff then gives the four captains an egg and they have to squish it. Red or blue paint squirts out to join them into two tribes. Was the egg-squishing really necessary?
Cecilia and Jonathan's groups are now red, and Parvati and Brad's groups join to wear blue. I guess I should learn the tribe names now, so Aitu is red and Raro is blue.
Nate says going to the new camp (where the Latinos lived) is like going from the ghetto to Bel Air. Jessica says she likes the vibe of her new red tribe.
Now that Cecilia is with Candice she asks about the Billy thing. Not surprisingly, Candice is surprised. Poor Billy. They might just as well have flashed "You're a huge idiot, Billy" on the screen.
Speaking of the Latino tribe, it looks like Ozzy is going to get away with his foolish plan to throw a Challenge and lose a tribemate since they already switched things up. For shame.
While the buff Raro men carry heavy rocks, Parvati (which sounds like "poverty" when Jeff says it) decides to target Nate and "work him" with her flirting.
At the other camp Becky and Candice are already talking alliance and they want to include Yul and Jonathan. Becky talks to Jonathan and says he can get Jessica, aka Flicka, to be their fifth vote. Why on earth would you trust the weirdo?
Sure enough, Jessflicka says she hasn't thought at all about strategy. She tells us her goal is to make friends and last as long as she can without "being fake."
To prove he trusts Becky, Yul tells her he found the Idol and says he'll use it to save her if necessary. Will this move pay off for the Asian Terry?
Nate spears an octopus and is very proud. It grabs onto Brad but I guess that doesn't hurt. Shows what I know about octopi.
The Immunity Challenge is the clipped-together-and-walking-around-an-oval-in-the-water Challenge from Fireman Tom's season (Palau). They still have the rule where everyone who drops out has to give their sandbag to a teammate still in the race. The change is instead of simply touching the other team from behind, you have to tackle one of them. May as well randomly add some violence.
All the women drop out first with Rebecca getting the Stephanie Memorial Last Female Award. Raro is gaining because Jonathan and Cowboy are fading under the extra weight. Yul stops to turn around and try to fight them off but someone breathes on Cowboy and knocks him over and Raro gets the win.
The victors get to send someone to Exile Island but that person will be safe from the vote. They banish Candice, probably to make sure she doesn't break any more hearts.
Now that Yul and Jonathan's alliance is ruined they're looking for backup votes. Ozzy and Cowboy make an alliance and target Becky. They approach Cecelia, Sundra and Jessica, which puts the Flicked One right in the middle.
Flicka goes and tells Jonathan that Becky will be the one voted out. She also tells Cecilia about her conversations with Jonathan. Now she's really in the middle.
Cowboy tells Yul that Becky is weak because she's "a princess out here" but Yul stands up for his friend. Jonathan again talks to Flicka and tries to explain long-term strategy but he could've been discussing quantum physics and she would've been less confused. This is why you don't rely on the weirdo.
Flicka has found one person with whom she can relate: Cowboy. Maybe she likes Vietnamese jokes. They talk about not trusting Jonathan.
At Tribal Council Jessica says she's not used to the manipulation and she's trying to figure out if people are being nice to her for their own benefit or if they really like her.
We see a ton of votes with Yul, Becky and Jonathan voting for Cecilia, and Cecilia, Sundra and Ozzy voting for Becky.
The tally reads those split six votes, then Cecilia, then…Cecilia again and she departs.
Next time on…Survivor: Raro appears to divide by gender as the four buff young men lounge around, and Cowboy kills some baby birds?!
So the vote ended up along tribal/racial lines with the whites and Asians together, but that's merely coincidence. The Bird Killer will clearly do whatever he wants, and Flicka is now the Cowgirl.
At the end of the day Survivor justice was served and Ozzy is now in really bad shape. If he had been nice to Billy and the two of them had joined Cecilia on a new tribe, maybe they end up with the power.
What have we learned? Never intentionally lose people before the merge. Never put all your eggs in a weirdo's basket. And never, ever let a machete-wielding maniac near your eggs.
