Survivor 13: Episode 12

Fulish?

Night 30, and Jonathan is upset that he's being portrayed as the only "bad guy" because other people have lied too.

The next day Parakeet just about chops her thumb off. The med staff bandages her up but she stays in the game.

The Reward Challenge is for a trip to a "sacred cave" and a picnic. It's the Loved One Challenge! We have Jonathan's wife, Parakeet's dad, Adam's dad (who looks just like him), Becky's sister, Yul's unfit brother, Ozzy's mom, and Sundra's mom.

The Survivors are blindfolded and they have to toss water that their loved ones have to catch in a small bucket in order to fill a big bucket. It's windy, water is flying everywhere, and the loved ones are getting soaked. Ozzy's mom has a very wet shirt. It's a good thing he's blindfolded. Jonathan's wife smartly squeezes water out of her shirt and her hair. It comes down to them and Poverty…but Poverty wins!

She sends Jonathan to Exile Island (his wife is spared) and Poverty's dad gets to choose two other pairs to join them on the Reward. He selects Sundra and her mom, and Adam and his dad. They all go to camp for a while.

Adam says he calls his dad "George" because he's his best friend, and because Adam is disrespectful. No, wait, I said that last part.

Ozzy is annoyed they're sharing camp with "competitors' families." He's also upset that he's catching food for Adam and Parakeet and they've now both won Challenges.

The winners jump into oily water. Poverty tells Sundra they just want to beat Jonathan. Sundra tells us Adam and Poverty are calmer without Jonathan around.

Back at the camp, Ozzy asks what they should do about the food and Yul suggests they hide some from Ad & Pov. They throw a bunch of coconuts in the jungle.

The winners come back…and share their leftovers! Oops. Becky says they now feel bad and the food-hiding plan is "on the outs." She also comments on the improved atmosphere without Jonathan.

The Immunity Challenge is a floating obstacle course. Ozzy dominates and everyone else falls. Jeff scolds them for being too cautious. Yul hits his head and Sundra has the wipeout to end all wipeouts. Ozzy says it was "hilarious" seeing people "eating it."

After returning to the beach Jonathan feels "something is afoot." He thinks he's either going home now or after Adam. He asks Becky and Sundra if they're still together and Becky just says, "Yeah," and keeps walking.

Adam tries Yul again about voting off Jonathan first. Yul says he feels like the Godfather being asked to put hits on people.

Jonathan takes his turn with Yul. "Let's not be stupid, please," he says. He reminds Yul that his flopping saved them.

Yul and Ozzy talk and Yul says he doesn't want Jonathan or Adam in the final five.

Candice walks into Tribal Council in a sleeveless top with her hair down and Adam drools. Poverty says sending Jonathan into Exile was strategy because it showed life is better without him. Ozzy agrees that Jonathan's strong personality makes him hard to be around. Jonathan says he's disappointed the others are being influenced by the two underdogs, and he plays the I-saved-you card again.

Adam says everyone on the jury deserved to last longer than Jonathan. Jonathan points out that he didn't vote off everyone on the jury. He says the I4 do owe him for flopping and saving him.

Jonathan and Adam vote for each other and we go to the tally. It reads: Jonathan, Adam, Jonathan…Jonathan again! And Jonathan one more time to send him home!!

Next time on…Survivor: Adam and Poverty work on Ozzy, and Yul tells Becky, "I'm scared of Ozzy."

Oh man. That chink in Yul's armor has turned into a full-on hole. There's no way around it, keeping Adam over Jonathan was a mistake. 1) Adam is stronger. 2) Adam has an ally (Poverty) while Jonathan did not. And, most importantly, 3) There's no way Jonathan could have won this game and Adam certainly can. Yul chose personality and temporary peace over long-term strategy and, if the preview is any indication, it could come back and bite him big time.

Jonathan also brought up a very valid point. Adam tried to act like Jonathan surviving in the game was a great crime, but Adam was the one calling the shots at Raro and he chose to keep Jonathan three times after the mutiny. Brad, Rebecca and Jenny were all voted out even though others (namely Nate) wanted Jonathan gone ASAP. Adam had no one to blame but himself for Jonathan lasting as long as he did.

And yet Adam lives to play another day. The other thing is, Yul and Co. have to realize a twist is coming. There are too many people left for the standard schedule to apply. We're normally at the final four after Day 36 but there are still six left and we're already at Day 33.

What happens if Adam wins the next Immunity and Jeff says they have to vote off two people at once? You can never assume your numbers will hold up. You always have to vote off the biggest threat as soon as you get a chance.

Let's hope Yul isn't made into a fool.
