Survivor 13: Episode 11

*Burp* That's a tasty episode.

Night 27, and Paralegal asks Jonathan if he's happy with second place. Why wouldn't he be? She says she wants to throw up in Jonathan's face.

Jonathan tries to explain to the Raros that if he didn't vote with I4 they would've voted for him and he would've been gone when Yul played the Idol. Paralegal gets indignant and says Yul doesn't have the Idol. Jonathan tells him he does and Yul showed it to him. They still don't believe them. That would be why they're losing.

The next day Sundra shows Poverty how to gut a fish and Jonathan gets mad because she's a "lazy selfish girl." He tells I4 that living with Raro was like being in a "clown house."

The Reward Challenge is the Survivor Auction. Everyone gets $500 and you can share money but you can't share the food. The first item is a mystery and Jonathan gets it for $100. It's a hotdog, fries and a beer, but he spills most of his beer on the young people. Ha ha!

Next up for bid is a hot bath right there along with a piece of chocolate cake. Paralegal wins for $360. Another mystery item is presented that will give someone "power in this game." Becky borrows money from Yul and wins with a bid of $640. The prize is sending someone to Exile Island right then and taking all that person's money. The choice? Candice for the fourth time. Tee-hee.

Jeff says Candice can look for the Idol but she says she thinks she knows where it is. Yul says he can end the suspense and pulls it out. Jeff asks why and Yul explains how he used it to sway Jonathan. Good one, Raros.

Ozzy wins as much ice cream as he can eat for $420 and Jeff calls him "dolphin boy." Jonathan wins another mystery item for $240 and it turns out to be pizza. Sundra spends $140 on a mystery item and it's a sea cucumber. Oops. Jonathan wins a toothbrush and mouthwash for $100, gloats some more, and that's it. What on earth is Adam planning on doing with his 500 bucks?

Back at camp Jonathan belches around and even the I4 are disgusted with his behavior. They discuss dumping him since they'd have the numbers anyway. Poverty overhears this and thinks they now have a chance. She talks to Becky and Sundra about it.

Candice cries some more.

The Immunity Challenge is answering trivia about their time on the island, doing some math, and untying and unwrapping a key that unlocks a flag. Poverty (what?), Jonathan and Adam advance to the final round which is the same thing but then you have to go through an obstacle course. Adam wins easily.

The Raro 3 directly ask Yul to vote off Jonathan so he doesn't go further than them. Adam says if he does it all three will vote for Yul in the final. Yul tells them he can't change the game up right now.

Candice, Adam and Poverty cuddle while everyone else gathers and prepare food. Jonathan asks the other four if they have to share with the non-working three. I4 agrees they don't and they start eating.

Candice storms out to confront him. There's yelling about everyone saying they don't like Jonathan, and the young people being too lazy, and Jonathan's bollocks.

Later, Yul talks to Becky about possibly giving into the Raro request in order to get their votes on the jury.

Tribal Council. Becky says they sent Candice to Exile because she's the strongest competitor. Yeah, right. Ozzy says five of them worked while three did nothing. Paralegal says they weren't working because they're on the outside. Adam puts all the blame on Jonathan and more shouting ensues.

Jeff says there appears to be a tribe of four, another tribe of three, and Jonathan. Yul disagrees and says what the Raro 3 have been saying is inaccurate. Poverty calls Yul the "puppet master" and he snaps back, asking what they expect of him since they're all trying to win.

Jonathan and Candice vote for each other. The tally goes: Jonathan, Candice, Jonathan, Candice, Jonathan, Candice (3-3), Candice…and Candice again. Adam and Candice share a long kiss goodbye and Nate loves it. Jeff says, "The kiss is nice but maybe if it were love he'd have given you the Immunity Necklace." Ladies and gentleman… The Man!

Next time on…Survivor: Poverty bleeds and Yul feels the pressure.

Back-to-back solid episodes. The show officially has a villain, but Yul wisely kept him around. Splitting up the Candice/Adam kissfest was the proper play. You just can't assume things will not change in the future so when you get a chance to eliminate a key opponent or break up a tight alliance you do it.

We did possibly see the first chink in Yul's armor however when he got defensive during Tribal Council. He doesn't need to justify his actions toward the Raro kids and he shouldn't care what they think. It's too early to worry about the jury. Right now you just have to make sure you get there, and that's what Master Yul is doing.

The question now is: Just how much more obnoxious and annoying can Jonathan get?
