There's love in the air.
Night 30, and Aras and Cirie smooth things over with Shane and assure him the three of them are still together. The next morning Terry says he's mad at Danielle for lying to him so he wants her gone next.
The Reward Challenge is four stages based on previous Challenges, including the wooden snakes and large dead fish. Uh oh, it's another loved one event, and this time we have live people. The winner will decide how much time each person sees their loved one.
Danielle wins the first two stages with Shane and Cirie getting eliminated. Cirie openly cheers for Aras in the next leg and he advances to the final versus Terry. Guess who wins again? Will he try and bargain with love?
Shane is already crying. We meet Terry's wife, Aras' mom, Danielle's mom, Cirie's husband and, you got it, THE Boston Powers, who looks like he just walked out of an '80s movie. Shane's son is Corey Feldmen?
Here's what Terry is giving away: 2 overnight stays with your loved one in a house, 1 overnight stay with your loved one at camp, 1 hug, and 1 big fat nothing plus a trip to Exile Island.
Terry immediately gives himself one of the top prizes, then gives the second one to Shane (alliance opportunity?). Cirie gets her husband at camp, Aras hugs his mama and Danielle gets squat. Don't lie to Top Gun.
Mr. Cirie goes by "H.B." and he wears a strangely cut tank top. He's not big on camp life, which shows Cirie how far she's come. But H.B. does his best to help with the work to give her a break.
At the house, Shane tells Terry that Danielle is out next, followed by Aras. Shane tells us Terry's wife is more competitive than he is and wanted to talk about the game the most. She even lied to Shane and said Terry didn't have the Immunity Idol with him.
Terry then gets a private room to spend the night with his wife. Booya. This is the most romantic night on Survivor since Colby and his mom.
Back at camp Terry explains why he divided the rewards like he did (why bother?) and Aras takes offense that his night with his wife meant more to him than spending time with his mom would. Terry says Aras will understand once he's married.
The Immunity Challenge is standing on a wobbly 20-foot pole out in the water. The goal is to repeatedly pull a bucket of water up with a rope then dump the water into a narrow tube to raise a flag toward you close enough so you can grab it.
Terry and Danielle take the early lead. Shane is pouring in the wrong hole. Aras makes a run and it's close, but-surprise-Terry wins yet again.
Time for the final four Casaya to scramble. Shane says it's still Danielle. Terry wants to take Shane to the final. Aras tells Danielle he's no longer tight with Shane because Shane wanted to take Courtney to the end. Danielle says she's very close with Cirie and Aras. Cirie confirms her alliance with Shane but tells us Aras and Danielle will be voting for Shane. Cirie says Danielle would beat her in front of the jury because of her friendship with Courtney, Bruce having a crush on her and her bond with Austin when "they almost died" on Exile Island.
What will Grand Master C do?
Tribal Council. Courtney is dressed like some sort of very angry cowgirl. Aras says Terry winning all these Immunities is only "one part of the game," because he has to win people over to win the big bucks. Shane says his integrity is "100% intact." Danielle says you have to make moves to get people before they get you. Jeff says Shane looked relaxed at the last Immunity Challenge and he says it's because people probably want to take him to the end since he has "a little more rust" on him.
Aras votes for Shane and Shane votes for Danielle. Does Cirie go after a person she thinks she can't beat, or a person she thinks everyone could beat?
The tally reads: Danielle, Shane (surprised look on his face), Shane (worried look), Shane (shocked). He says something about eating an ice cream bar then waddles off one last time with his pants way too low and his belly sticking out.
Next time on…Survivor: Cirie stands up to Terry, Terry and Aras literally butt heads, and Danielle says it's time to align with Terry.
Cirie continues to have complete control. She knows Terry's the favorite to win out so she keeps knocking out the person he most wants to face before the jury. I think Cirie's dream is to get to the final three with the two men to guarantee herself at least second place since they hate each other.
Aras makes a lot of empty boasts, but he's absolutely right with his comment about Terry. When Fireman Tom won it all in Palau he not only dominated the Challenges but he also provided huge meals for the tribe (remember the shark?) and he came across as genuine and sincere. But Terry is becoming more and more arrogant. He can't stop himself from winning every Reward and he seems more interested in rubbing in his wins than buttering up future jurors. Maybe he can beat Danielle, but the other two have way too many friends. But, hey, at least he got his car and his sleepless night with his wife.
In other words, I'm driving the Cirie bandwagon, with H.B. riding shotgun. Giddyup!
