Survivor 11 Episode 4

And you thought Mark Burnett didn't read DangFun.com.

Day 9 and Nakum lies around talking about the heat and bugs. What? In a jungle? Amazing.

Yaxha fishes for minnows with a pot using corn meal for bait. Are Rafe and Gary this season's Rodger and Elisabeth? Yaxha gets their first glimpse of a crocodile out in the lake. They choose not to go swimming.

The Reward Challenge isn't a Challenge. They have to answer questions about their tribemates using pen and paper. The first question is: Which member of your tribe is most in need of nourishment? Jamie gets the most votes for Yaxha (big Jamie?) and Danni is the choice of Nakum (that one makes sense with all eighteen pounds of her). The two of them each get an apple (Danni now weighs eighteen pounds and one apple).

"A whole apple?
I'm stuffed!"

The next question is: Who smells the worst? Gary and Bobby Jon are the "winners." They both get a shower. No, not together, although the cameraperson insists on getting multiple shots of Gary's junk.

Which man and woman most deserve a picnic lunch in a scenic location away from camp? Gee, I wonder what their prize will be? Now that Gary is clean, he is considered most deserving and he is joined by Amy for Yaxha. Margaret and Judd get the meal for Nakum. The four of them immediately leave.

The final question is: Who has the most tribe pride? Brian is Mr. Rah-Rah for Yaxha and Cindy waves the pom-poms for Nakum. Jeff tells them this means they get to stay with their tribe…while everyone else switches.

When we're all said and done the new tribes look like this:
Yaxha: (old members) Brian, Gary, Amy, (new) Bobby Jon, Brandon, Danni, Blake.
Nakum: (old) Cindy, Judd, Margaret, Brooke, (new) Stephenie, Rafe, Jamie, Lydia.

So as far as physical strength goes, Yaxha traded Jamie and Steph for Bobby Jon, Brandon, Blake and Eighteen. Not bad.

Out on the picnic Margaret casually asks Gary about being a pro football player as if it's common knowledge. He quickly denies it. Amy later tells the camera if she finds out Gary is lying about this she'll "kill him."

It comes up again when Gary returns to camp and finds Danni there. She even knows what college he went to (Central Michigan)! Gary admits he went to CMU but says he didn't play football. Probably not the best half-lie. Danni tells us she still knows who Gary is and figures he just wants to keep it a secret. She lets it go for now.

Judd says he's happy to be away from all the other guys and he now feels like King Kong in this new tribe.

Stephenie and Jamie talk to Judd about turning on the women from his original tribe. He says he likes the two of them better than those women so he'd be willing to vote against them. He tells the camera his old tribemates need to "get out of my jungle."

"Math? What's that?"

Over at Yaxha, Amy knows the new people have the numbers. Bobby Jon and Blake have a chat about that very thing while urinating together. You might say they had a pee-wow. Blake says the order they'll be voted out is Amy, then Brian, then Gary.

Amy's ankle is really swollen. She knows she has to perform in the next Challenge or she's in trouble.

To win Immunity, the tribes will canoe out and bring three bags back to shore. Each one contains war clubs which will be thrown at three targets 30, 40 and 50 feet away respectively. Only one person from each team can throw at a time, no person can break more than one target, but you can switch throwers even if you don't hit anything.

After each tribe gets their first bag, Nakum intentionally rams Yaxha and pushes them off course! Very nice. They take a big lead into the clubbing.

Stephenie throws first. It takes a few tries but she breaks the closest target. Judd steps up next, but he starts going for the deepest one.

Brian is the first thrower for Yaxha. He can't get anything and quits. Danni tries next and hits the target. Girl power!

Blake is next. He hits the second target and Yaxha now has the lead! Judd's teammates ask him to quit but he just starts aiming for the second target instead, finally breaking it.

It's Brandon versus Jamie for the win. Brandon clips off the corner of the target but Jeff says it's not enough. He keeps on with his country spunk and brings home the victory for Yaxha. Good one, King Kong.

With four original members from each tribe, the new Nakums target Judd to break the tie. Brooke, Cindy and Margaret talk about targeting Lydia as the weakest link. Margaret talks to Judd to make sure he's still with them but he wavers on her. He says they could agree to vote off Brooke now then vote off Lydia next and go back and forth like that. Margaret says the other group wouldn't do that if they got the majority. Judd seems surprised at this possibility.

Judd confirms with Steph that he's voting with them against Brooke but tells us he doesn't know what he's going to do yet.

Tribal Council, and Jeff reminds Stephenie of her hideous record in Challenges: 1-6 this season and 4-17 overall. I hear my Arizona Cardinals are thinking about drafting her.

Margaret talks about Judd spending a lot of time with the new people. He says he was just getting to know them. Brooke says the men have the advantage right now because of the value of their strength.

Brooke votes for Lydia, Rafe votes for Brooke, and Margaret votes for Lydia.

We should see a lot of votes. The tally goes: Lydia, Brooke, Lydia, Lydia, Brooke, Brooke. That's three votes each. The next one is for…Brooke…and the last one is for…Brooke! Judd whipped out the first dagger of Survivor: Guatemala!

Where was this girl?

Before dismissing them, Jeff says loyalties will shift throughout the game but he warns them that the more they shift the harder it will be to trust. Oh so wise.

Brooke's family wants to run and ski and wear cheesy smiles with her.

Next time on…Survivor: Judd defends himself to Margaret and Cindy, Brian appears to act religious so he'll fit in, and Lydia sings like a crazy woman.

Now we're in business! I completely agree with the timing of the tribe swap because this game needed a good shaking. Usually you don't have someone dumb enough to immediately turn on their old tribe but Judd was more than happy to oblige. He'd better hope Stephenie suddenly starts winning or they merge before they go to Tribal Council three more times.

Margaret is right, the new members of Nakum now have all the power. Interestingly enough, the new members have a 4-3 advantage in both tribes now, so neither original tribe may have an advantage after the merge.

It's a Survivor cliché but….

Game on.
