This week is our first chance at a real overthrow. Will they catch it?
Day 28 and Tom calls his alliance together. He tells them that he showed his strength in all the Challenges to help Koror so they shouldn't hold it against him. But what about the first two Individual Immunities?
Tom also says that no one has ever won Survivor by dominating the Challenges. I'll give him that one. But it's a strange time to make this speech and it comes across as begging. Later as the others talk amongst themselves they show they weren't impressed.
Stephenie, Jenn and Katie talk about an all-woman alliance and they want to target Tom. Now they just have to get Caryn on board.
The Reward Challenge is the auction. Tom's hoping for something from home.
Everyone gets $500. The first item is covered. Jenn wins it for $120 and it's a big ice cream sundae. She trembles as she eats it.
Item #2 is also a mystery. Gregg and Ian pool their money for bidding. Caryn and Stephenie counter with a financial alliance of their own. The ladies win with a bid of $260. Jeff then offers them another covered item. They try and smell them and agree to trade. They gave up crackers and cheese, and they get a double cheeseburger, fries and a soda. Good trade.

New food saves the Survivors from cannibalism.

The third item up for bid is covered as well. Ian is bidding hard but Katie and Jenn team up against him. Gregg offers Ian $20 for one bite of whatever it is. The guys win for a total of $300. Jeff gives Ian the option to trade but he stands pat. Ian finds out he passed on a jar full of live crabs and he got…a full spaghetti dinner. Another good trade.
Ian hugs Jeff and The Man says, "Wow, you smell, Ian! Wow, you reek!" He doesn't hold back.
The next item is a single cold beer and Jeff says the first $40 takes it, and Ian makes the bid.
Here's how I see everyone's remaining budget:
Jenn: $380
Caryn and Steph: $370 each
Ian: $180
Gregg: $480
Katie: $500
Tom: Hasn't even bid yet.
As usual, Tom's strategy pays off. Jeff pulls out letters from home. When the bidding gets to $200 Ian says, "Sorry, Mom and Dad." Tom wins for $220 which seems really low. Guess Katie likes food more than her family.
But Jeff offers the same $220 deal to everyone and they all take it, except for Ian who doesn't have enough. That was an expensive beer.
After the letters and required tears Ian decides to take a bath. He hasn't up to this point? Yikes. He has Gregg wash his back. It's like the girlie bathing scene from the Amazon gone horribly wrong.

Good thing Coby's not here.

Day 29 and Tom talks with Caryn. He says they should look out for each other and he wants her in his alliance. She appears to buy it.
The Immunity Challenge is like a giant carnival game. There's a grid of 35 tiles, or five for each player. The object is to stand on a platform twenty feet away and toss coconuts to break the tiles of your color. First person with all their tiles broken wins, and it doesn't matter who breaks them.
Ian goes first and nails his tile. Very nice. Katie misses. Gregg hits. Jenn breaks one of Caryn's. Caryn misses everything. Tom gets one of Katie's and Steph breaks a Caryn, so she has two without doing anything.
Ian hits his second. Katie breaks one of Jenn's. Gregg breaks Ian's third! Jenn hits Tom's first. Caryn gets Katie's second. Tom gets his own to move into second place. Stephenie's throw bounces off hers and breaks nothing.
Ian connects on his third straight, for four total! He must be a stud at Skee-Ball. Katie breaks Jenn's second. Gregg gets his own for the second time. Jenn gets her own, and now she's one behind Ian. Caryn puts Stephenie on the board. Tom nails his own. He's heating up and has three to tie Jenn. Steph misses everything again.
Ian goes for the win but hits Steph's #2 instead. Katie gets her own third. Gregg connects again! He has three on his own and no help from anyone else. Jenn and Caryn get nothing. Tom's bounces off his and crushes Ian's final tile. We have a new winner!

E.T. wins Immunity.

Back at camp Katie goes to Caryn with the feminine plan. Caryn is uncommitted. She then tells Tom what Katie said! He tells Caryn he's confused as to why she's telling him this. I am too.
Tom then goes to Ian, who goes to Katie, who denies it and says she's loyal to Tom and Ian. Katie tells the camera, "We can't get a female alliance together because Caryn sucks."
Katie's next plan is to tell Ian they don't have a chance against Tom. Ian contemplates voting out his buddy.
Caryn thinks she's in trouble for not keeping a secret. Duh. Gregg still wants Stephenie out. His motto is, "Don't mess with the plan." Stephenie tells us if they're smart they'll vote out Tom. Why isn't she telling them this?
At Tribal Council Caryn says she wouldn't be surprised if she went. Jeff asks Tom if it was intention from the start to stand out in the Challenges. Tom says he did it to help the tribe win.
It's time to vote. We don't see Ian's ballot but he says his vote is for "one of the fiercest competitors I've ever met." Katie says her unseen vote is not personal, she's just going with the rest of the tribe.
The tally goes: Caryn, Stephenie, Stephenie, Stephenie, Stephenie. Rest In Pieces, Ulong.

"Great, now who are we going to torment?"

Stephenie says she's proud of herself and she should be. By voting for Caryn she must have known there was no shot at the all-female alliance. Good one, Caryn.
Next time on…Survivor: Tom and Ian say, "Oh no!" and everyone is paranoid. Thanks for nothing, CBS.
Well, a member of Koror will win for sure, but Caryn really blew a chance to get power. She must feel she can't trust Tom more than the girls.
So we seem to have two pairs--Jenn/Gregg & Tom/Ian--and two individuals. Each pair should be looking to break up the other pair next. You would think Caryn would stick with Tom, so Katie either has to go with them to avoid the tie, or keep working on Ian to turn on Tom.
