Even with the closed catch-up point at the start of the day, there was a split in the teams. The Hippies, Frat Boys, MoJo and Nerds were running ahead of everyone else.

Sea got off to a great start by ignoring his wife and making a wrong turn. They spent the rest of the day yelling at each other.

The Roadblock was going off a high dive into a pool in the middle of winter. Yolanda of the Black team was scared because she can't swim. Why on earth would you volunteer for something called "Take the plunge" then? She pulled it off, and much quicker than the Tamale mama. Again, if you're afraid of drowning, you probably want to avoid plunging tasks.

I know it was surprising, but it was the Girly Girls who made the first large blunder of the Race when they left their bag with their passports at the pool.

What was up with the Detour that no cab driver could find? That trolley thing sounded 50 times better than searching through those nesting dolls, but every team that went for the trolley got ridiculously lost. The Girlies not only caught up, but they were ahead of two teams.

And…To Be Continued. Bah. I'm guessing they felt bad that no one could find the challenge so they extended the leg on the fly. It seems way too early for a two-part episode.

So here's the order heading into next week: Frats, Sea, Blacks, Hips. The Olds are trying to do the dolls, then the Tamales and the Girlies are ahead of the Mo's and the Nerds at the trolley station.

Oh the drama.
